Term 3 Week 10

It is term 3 week 10. 30 weeks had passed and only one more term is left.

Yesterday, the Lasallians received the parent notification. I went through the parent notification with them, asking them to take note of the important dates. While reading out the important dates, I then realised that there will only be 5 teaching weeks in term 4. ONLY 5 TEACHING WEEKS!! Oh my. Its really a very very short term. I'm worried as I don't know if I can complete the syllabus. haha....

On a lighter note, tomorrow is the Teacher's Day celebration, so there will be teacher's day mass at 10 am, followed by concert at 11 am. Therefore, it will be a rather short day tomorrow. Haha...yes...Teacher's day dinner is also tomorrow.

But but...I got Robotics training in the afternoon, so I got to rush home to bathe before going for the dinner. BTW, i got a chauffeur tomorrow, so I will not be late for the dinner.

It feels good to have a short break though I have to spend the whole day at Science Centre on Monday! Do you agree with me, 5 Dominic Lasallians? haha...

Have a good holiday!! All of you will have to work very very hard when you come back from the one week holidays.

Reflection.....*deep in thoughts*

It has been quite some time since I have updated.

Well, well....in the twinkling of an eye, its already CA2. I have been with my beloved students for about 3 terms and that's like 8 months. Wow. Time really passes very fast.

All the P5 teachers stayed in school and marked the Mathematics paper yesterday. I was anxious to know the marks of the students. Thus I stayed back in school to add up all the marks. Sigh...

Should I say I still have some expectations afterall? I was expecting them to be able to do the questions that I have taught. I was expecting some of them to perform better than they did in SA1. I was expecting....I was expecting someone to score an aggregate that is nearer to 50 or even 50.

No! That person did not disappoint me. A BIG NO NO.

His marks is not near to 50 at all. However, his results has improved from SA1 to CA1. He is a clever boy. He can do much better than what he is doing now. He gave me hope during last week's remedial class. He told me that he would do me proud by working really hard for the CA2 Math paper. He said that he would do his very best to try to pass. I was very very happy when he said that. I was really touched as I believed in him.

I really do not know how I should be feeling. That made me spend some time to reflect last night. Finally, I came up with this. Nothing constructive. Just how I really felt.

Dedicated to my beloved students of St 5 Dominic:

I'm very proud of all of you.

I'm proud that you have not given up hope in your studies despite facing a lot of difficulties. I can see the effort most of you are putting in. I'm very happy that most of you are still trying hard.

YES!!! PLEASE CONTINUE TO WORK HARD AND DO NOT GIVE UP.

I know that the learning journey to getting that pass (50 marks) in Mathematics paper is tough. I understand how all of you feel. I really do. Trust me.

Perservere. Never give up. You will definitely succeed one day.

YOU DEFINITELY WILL! :D
